Our Senior Hurlers opened their Armagh Senior Hurling Championship campaign with a hard-fought 1-15 to 1-13 victory over Cú Chulainns, in Pearse Óg Park.
In a keenly contested encounter, the sides were level throughout much of the game before Craobh Rua showed great composure in the closing stages to seal a deserved two-point win.
With a one point lead at half time, the lads dug deep with a determined second-half display. Patrick Garvey's well-taken penalty proved crucial as both teams found the net in an entertaining championship opener.
